For the Children

• NOAH’S NURSERY

  Risen Lord is committed to providing quality childcare for infants and toddlers for all worship, Sunday School, and special events. Bring your children ages 0—4 to the nursery and rest assured they will be cared for by a qualified and caring paid staff.

• PROMISE LAND

  Risen Lord offers a bull blown hour of effective and creative Christian Education for children on Sunday mornings. Promise Land begins at 9:30 with an opening of singing fun Christian songs for children. After 15 minutes of singing, kids are dismissed to their separate classes. Current class divisions are PreK-K, 1-2 grade, 3-6 grade, and 7-8 grade. Promise Land does not meet during the summer months.

• VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

  Each summer, usually in July, Risen Lord offers a week long Bible school. Children bring their friends for Christ-centered games, crafts, music, and a special event or speaker.

• CHURCH CAMP

  Each summer, kids are invited to spend a week at Bible Camp for an immersion experience in God’s love. The 700-acre camp, Lutheran Hills, located in beautiful Brown County and is just 40 minutes from the church. It boasts its own lake filled with bass and blue gill, pool, streams, cabins, and breath-taking outdoor chapel. Camp weeks are divided by age and are publicized in the Spring.

• SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

  Risen Lord also provides opportunities for children to participate in Christmas plays, Easter Egg Hunts, community service projects, and much more.

• 46’ERS

  This is a youth group for children in grades 4-6, normally meeting weekly on Sunday from 5:30 -7:30. The 46’ers group invests its time in Bible study, games, and service projects.

FOR THE YOUTH

• THE TIMOTHY CLUB

  Risen Lord’s group for youth, in grades 7-8, is also its confirmation program. The confirmation class is a two year in-depth study of the Bible and faith with the aim of helping the youth make a public profession of faith in Christ. Games, service projects, and trips round-out this program. The Timothy Club gets its name from 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, conduct, in love, in faith and purity.” It meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30.

• SR. HIGH YOUTH

  The high school group is comprised of grades 9-12. They meet weekly with the Youth Ministry Director for servant projects, study, and fellowship.

• YOUTH QUAKE

  Youth Quake is Risen Lord’s youth night and meets weekly on Sundays from 5:30-7:30. Youth Quake gathers the three groups – 46’ers, Timothy Club, and Sr. High Youth – for worship, a meal, Bible Study and games. While the groups worship and eat together, they break off for separate study and games.
