Music Reflection for Luke 11:2-4

Luke 11:2-4

[Jesus] said to them, ‘When you pray, say:

Father, hallowed be your name.

   Your kingdom come.

Give us each day our daily bread.

   And forgive us our sins,

for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.

And do not bring us to the time of trial.’

Reflection from Jim Rowe, Minister of Music:

Public prayer can be uncomfortable for many of us. Yet the comfort we feel in praying the words given to us by Jesus, allows us to pray together with confidence, asking forgiveness and proclaiming God holy.  We also proclaim God’s kingdom near and dear to our hearts as we strive to follow God’s will in this world.
