Prepared and Ready:

Updated: Aug 15, 2022

An Important Message from Pastor Wendy and Dayna Zook

This Sunday, we welcome Tapestry Church to share our space and worship and serve God—two congregations—together in one location. Like us, Tapestry has been preparing their folks for this big day.

Every Sunday, every day, we are called to be prepared and ready to receive Christ. We practice receiving Christ in how we receive our neighbors, whether at worship, in the stores, at school and work or on the streets.

As followers of Christ, we serve our neighbors with Christ-like love, care and concern for everyone. That’s life in the Kingdom of God that Christ has ushered in.

How might you be prepared and ready this Sunday?

· The cases for COVID have risen sharply in these past few weeks. Please exercise caution and care for one another, especially those who may be exercising greater caution at this time. Wear a mask if you have been exposed or are in doubt. Stay home if you are sick. Wash your hands frequently. Maintain safe social distance. Support the immune-compromised, caregivers and vulnerable to complications if they got sick. We certainly welcome and encourage worshipers to wear masks out of love and concern for our vulnerable neighbors.

· If you are able, join us for the joint Educator, Student and Backpack Blessing led by Pastors Cory and Wendy following worship this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

· Warmly greet Tapestry folks (they will be wearing their nametags), one another and all visitors who join us on Sunday morning. Wear your provided nametag which is hanging at the South entrance to the building.

· Come and worship God with joy and thanksgiving for the grace and love we have received through Christ so that you are ready to receive Christ through all whom you encounter!

Prepared and ready to receive Christ with you,

Pastor Wendy Kalan

Dayna Zook—Congregational President
