Centered in Christ

On Sunday, you heard about how David was anointed king and brought the Ark of the Covenant back into the center of Jerusalem. We considered the question - what would it look like if we brought Christ to the center of our church?

One way we considered was the each of our congregation’s decisions would be filtered through our purpose and guiding principles because they are what we have chosen as our important principles from Scripture. During Lent, we spent time digging into each of these principles and I encourage you to consider them again. PURPOSE STATEMENT As Followers of Jesus, we share God's love through words and actions! GUIDING PRINCIPLES We open our door and welcome all in Christ’s love. We gather to worship. We forgive others as God has forgiven us. We nurture our faith and grow our discipleship in God’s Word. We are grounded in the Lutheran faith. We practice care and compassion. We live empowered by the Spirit. As you read these, I encourage you to pray about them and the following questions: How do we live out each of these principles in our life together? What things are part of our life together at RL that do not fit these principles and should be changed? How is God calling us to live these out more fully? Feel free to share your thoughts with me - . In the abiding hope of the Risen Lord, Pastor Lecia
