-Matthew 18:21-22
Take some time to read all of Matthew 18.
Questions to consider:
At what point was this in Jesus' life and ministry?
What was Jesus' teaching immediately before and after? How might that affect how we interpret this?
Who was present beside Jesus and Peter? Where did this take place? How might that affect how we interpret this?
What other Biblical passages come to mind?
Was this meant to be literal or metaphorical?
How are we called to live?
And then read 2 Corinthians 2.
Questions to consider:
How was Paul practicing Jesus' teaching or not?
How does one passage help interpret the other?
